OKDecor.com and Our Knickknacks has a new Floating Shopping Cart. This is a new feature provided by Yahoo! shopping that we have incorporated into our online store checkout system.

As you shop at OKDecor.com, the shopping cart will keep a running total of your order amount as well as the number of unique items that you place in your shopping cart. You can increase or decrease the quantity by clicking on the quantity for an item, at which point a box will surround the number, and then type how many of that item you would like to order and press Enter.

We have also included a shipping calculator that you can access by clicking on the blue Shipping Calculator header from within the floating shopping cart. This will allow you to enter your country; currently we ship to the US, Canada and now the UK; then select your State, enter your Zip Code and Shipping Method. Please note that we use UPS Online© Tools to calculate the shipping costs based on the shipweights of the items. This way you receive the shipping cost directly from UPS.

From time to time we will run promotions and, during those times, there will be another section below the shipping calculator for you to enter a Coupon Code for a discount on your order. We will keep you posted on promotions as we post them. When you click the Checkout button, you will be taken to our original shopping cart pages that will look more familiar to you. Here is where you will be able to enter your shipping and payment information.

Our webmaster has successfully tested the new floating cart with Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8; Firefox 3.6.x and Opera 10.x. There are a couple of issues with the cart display label in Safari that Yahoo! is looking into, however, if you click on the shopping cart icon the floating cart does work the same as in the other browsers tested. Currently, however, the Yahoo! floating shopping cart does not work correctly with Google’s Chrome browser.

The Floating Cart is for the convenience of our customers to be able to see their items, adjust quantities, see the shipping costs and apply any promotional coupon codes with a quick click of the mouse.
